Long before industry 4.0 and digitization brought master data management on the agenda of top management, Matthias Knapp founded his company knapp:consult in 2007. He used his experience as a research associate of the FIR at the RWTH Aachen University to develop powerful methods and tools for the preparation of data from different business applications.
Soon the consulting spectrum covered not only product master data but also address and business partner master data. Further domains like asset master data and documents followed. Besides own software tools, external tools and data sources were licensed.
The diverse project approaches and methods were incorporated into a method framework and comprehensive rule libraries. At the same time, training modules were developed to meet the increasing demand in the areas of coaching and qualification.
With the change of name in 2020, data quality has now become part of the company name: KDQ Knapp Data Quality.
KDQ is characterized by an analytical and goal-oriented approach to work, which is geared to the requirements of our customers.
